The last echoes of sunlight grasp for permanence, then fall away, allowing one brief glimpse into the pathway between day and night. The garden transcends into a spectral form as the muted sound of koto and flute fill the silence. Spirits from long ago look to the glow of the luminaries, sensing our presence as we send our silent remembrance and gratitude.
