The clouds surrounded the grounds as if we were being swaddled by protective Mountain Gods. To see these rocky sentinels standing guard around us, drifting in and out of the cloud cover, was jaw-dropping. I felt so lucky to be in sacred Machu Picchu during such an event, and to be able to capture the moment to treasure.
