The natural landscapes of the North are beautiful, for sure, but I also like to pull in and discover "treescapes" in the patterns and geometry of birch trees. There’s something about the greens of lichen against the peeling bark that speaks to me. I can still feel the bounce of the mossy ground beneath my feet and the buzzing blanket of mosquitoes as I searched for interesting compositions.
